Postoperative care can begin before wound closure. HyaRegen® Gel is a crosslinked hyaluronic acid adhesion barrier for gynecological surgery in the abdominopelvic area. It forms a temporary physical layer over treated tissue surfaces during healing and is gradually absorbed. [1,2]
Create space for tissue recovery
Injured tissue surfaces may adhere during healing. An adhesion barrier complements careful surgical technique and postoperative follow-up by physically separating treated surfaces during repair. HyaRegen provides an absorbable gel format for this purpose. [1,2]
Designed around surgical workflow
- Self-crosslinked HA: A gel network made with biologically fermented hyaluronic acid.
- Viscous, mouldable consistency: Supports coverage of the intended tissue surfaces.
- Gradual absorption: Product information describes degradation and absorption over approximately 7–14 days.
- 10 mL prefilled syringe: Prepared for use according to the product instructions. [1]
Gynecological applications
HyaRegen is an absorbable adhesion barrier gel for preventing or reducing postoperative adhesions. Product information covers laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and open gynecological procedures. Actual use must follow the indications and instructions for the supplied product. [1,2]
A closer look at clinical evidence
Liu and colleagues' 2015 multicenter randomized study enrolled 216 women undergoing gynecological laparoscopy. Among 196 per-protocol completers, moderate or severe adhesions at 10 ovarian/tubal sites occurred in 9.8% of the gel group versus 27.7% of controls receiving saline. [3]
These are adhesion outcomes in a specific study population. They do not guarantee complete adhesion prevention or a pregnancy outcome for an individual patient.
HyaRegen and MateRegen: choose by application site
